Twilight Translations began in the summer of 2005 as a “brand name” for translations produced by RedComet (me). Before this I released work under my name alone. This gave the impression that I alone did all of the work, which just isn’t true. These patches are the end result of myself and a number of individuals working together. I felt our “label” should reflect this. At the very least, Twilight Translations isn’t RedComet’s Translations.

My goal is to produce high-quality, professional level translations of video games that, for whatever reason, were not released in English. All (publicly announced) projects to date have been exclusively Japanese, but that’s not to say I’m not interested in [random language]-only games.¬† In addition to my translation work, I’m interested in advancing romhacking as a hobby through the creation and dissemination of knowledge on the subject in the form of tutorials, source code, etc.

This blog began in early November 2007 as a way for me to interact and get feedback from the public who are interested in what I’m doing. So post away.

I would like to ask if you are still working on “away to the newtype”. If so, could you give me an estimate of the progress on it?

    thank you.

Hi, I would like to help you to translate Gundam F91 from Japanese to English, please, let me know if you are still interested in hacking this superb SNES game.

I actually have a translated script on my hard drive. There were a few mistakes in it that are being worked out. The hacking is more or less finished, but thank you for your offer to help.

Glad to see ANYBODY taking some initiative on this. R U doing any work with any of the “asian market only” KOEI games? Uncharted Waters: New Horizons with the extra 2 playable characters(Chinese & Indian) would be at the top of my wish list, and all the other Uncharted Waters games. Also, Bandit Kings of Ancient China with improved graphics(released for Sega)would be very cool to have in english. And, of course the Nobunaga’s Ambition games as well. My best wishes to you and your friends for taking on this seemingly insurmountable(at least, according to the game companies)task. Good luck and Godspeed to you all!
